AVENTURA & BOCA RATON, FL:  Multi-talented singer/dancer/actor/choreographer Rome Saladino will celebrate the stylings of Grammy and Juno Award-winner Michael Bublé in Feelin’ Good – A Tribute to Michael Bublé at the Aventura Arts & Cultural Center on December 20th and return to the Boca Black Box Center for the Arts on December 23rd.  (The show was a sell-out when it played at the Boca Black Box in April.)

Saladino will sing the songs that made the popular singer-songwriter a world-renowned phenomenon.  He will be accompanied by a seventeen-piece band at Aventura, and (due to space constraints) a seven-piece band at the Boca Black Box, talented dancers, and special guest star Cantor Geniene Shelley.

“Many people ask me why I tribute Michael Bublé,” Saladino says. “Well, because, he truly brings ALL GENERATIONS TOGETHER! Other artists do amazing jobs in their individual styles and genres, but he brought back the music of the last 100 years and made it cool again!”

Inspired by Bublé’s Jazzy Big Band style, Saladino will perform the hits that put the Canadian superstar on the charts –“Haven’t Met You Yet”, “Everything”, and “Home”, and will channel ‘Frank, Dean, Ray, and Ella’ with classics such as “Feeling Good”, “Come Fly With Me”, “Cry Me a River”, and “Sway. The evening will also include covers of The Beatles, The Eagles, Otis Redding, and Queen.  The show will also feature some of Bublé’s beloved renditions of everyone’s favorite holiday classics.

Rome Saladino was born and raised in Miami, Florida.  His extensive theatrical career – he has a bachelor’s degree in theatre from Florida Atlantic University –  has included such roles as Curly in Oklahoma, John the Baptist in Godspell, Caleb in Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, and Charles Dalrymple in Brigadoon.  He has also appeared in Annie, A Chorus Line, Camelot, Fiddler on the Roof, and West Side Story, and he was one of the leads in Encore!  The American Theatre in Tokyo Disney, Japan.  During his ballet career he performed with the Sacramento Ballet, Icelandic Ballet, and American Ballet Theatre.  Rome appeared on the Discovery Channel during Shark Week playing the role of Ian in an Australian shark attack reenactment, and in the film, “Catch Me If You Can”, where he played an FBI Agent next to Tom Hanks. He recently self-produced, directed and starred in Singin’ and Dancin’ in the Rain, a song and dance revue honoring the career highlights of Hollywood legend Gene Kelly, and Gotta Dance, a celebration of the Great American Songbook and the Hollywood movie musical.

Geniene (Miller) Shelley has been acting, singing, and dancing since she was a child. She has had leading roles in numerous shows at the Hollywood Playhouse, Dillard High School of the Performing Arts, the American Academy of Dramatic Arts, and theatres in Los Angeles and Chicago. Shows include Oliver, Oklahoma, Bye Bye Birdie, Meet Me in St. Louis, HMS Pinafore, A Chorus Line, Life With Father, and Cabaret.  She is a graduate of Dillard High School for the Performing Arts and The American Academy of Dramatic Arts. Geniene’s life took a spiritual turn – she studied and became the Cantorial Soloist at prominent synagogues in South Florida; she can be heard weekly as the Cantor at Aventura Turnberry Jewish Center. She leads Passover Seders weddings, and religious life cycle events throughout the country. Geniene and her husband, Commissioner Bob Shelley share the love of theatre.  She is the mother of three beautiful children.
