The 2024 Spanish River Concerts Series:
Symphonic Broadway: The New Chapter (January 8, 9) The Spanish River Orchestra conducted by Maestro Adaddi brings Broadway to Boca – the way it was meant to be heard! SRC veterans Marc Devigne, Chassey Bennett, and Justin Sargent welcome Broadway’s Adrienne Stiefel for an all-new revue, featuring favorites from the best musicals of the Great White Way, including Funny Girl, Wicked, Mamma Mia, Lion King, Hamilton, Michael Jackson – the Musical, and many more.
Classic Rock Hits on SRC RADIO (January 22, 23) We love this collection of hits from the 60s, 70s, and 80s so much that we created SRC RADIO – our own fictional radio station to take you on a journey through the golden era of Classic Rock. Sit back and relax, or get up and dance to the greatest hits of Bruce Springsteen, Tom Petty, 3 Dog Night, Fleetwood Mac, Elton John, Tina Turner, Queen, and so many more. So don’t touch that dial because you don’t want to miss the Spanish River Orchestra and the amazing voices of rockers Brook Wood, Aaron LaVigne, Katie Boeck, and Dustin Brayley, delivering a rockin’ blockbuster as only Spanish River can!
Omer & Friends (February 19, 20) Come see why our subscribers rave about the talent, charisma, and versatility Omer Shaish displays every time he walks on stage. Loved for his wonderful performances with Kol Esperanza and Four Best Men, Omer always brings his “A” game. This year, he introduces newcomers Ruby Lewis and Hila Zittoun to SRC, as they join him and the Spanish River Orchestra for an unforgettable evening of the beloved Popular, Broadway, Hebrew, and Yiddish songs that inspired his storied journey from Tel Aviv to Broadway.
Triumph of the Human Spirit (March 18, 19) This uplifting mash-up features the music of two of the most iconic musicals ever written. Individually, The Sound of Music and Les Miserables are musical masterpieces; but combine their incredible repertoire with Maestro Adaddi’s arrangements, and the magnificent voices of all-stars: David Burnham, Kathy Voytko, Randal Keith, Heidi Webster, and Andrew Ragone, and you have a season finale guaranteed to hold you over until 2025!
Special Events:
Jerusalem Tenors – with Special Guest (February 5, 6) Back in 2014, we searched the globe for just the right voices to create the Jerusalem Tenors. Our audiences agree that Vladyslav Gorai, Felix Livshitz, and Alexander Gunko fit the bill perfectly. We thought this would be a wonderful time to reunite the tenors on our stage. They welcome special guest and longtime SRC favorite Betty Lipska for an evening of Hebrew, Yiddish, International, and Crossover music – all, of course, accompanied by the Spanish River Orchestra.
Minds of the Masters (March 4, 5) Last season, Natalie Tenenbaum (piano) and Filip Pogady (violin) mesmerized our audiences with our Boundless Virtuosity program. We couldn’t wait to bring both of them back for an all-new production with the Spanish River Orchestra. This year’s program features the genius of Natalie and Filip, with the inimitable voices of San Francisco Opera alums Daniel Montenegro and Maria Valdez. This very approachable Classical, Popular, and Crossover concert appeals to any type of music-lover and will include a brief audience/artist Q&A segment to provide insight into the remarkable mindset that drives these world-class performers.
Brill-iance! (March 11, 12) The Brill Building in Manhattan was the epicenter of the American music scene from the World War II era through the 1960s. This site was home to some of the most prolific popular composers, many of whom went on to become well-known singer-songwriters and recording artists in the 1970s. In fact, Carole King, Paul Simon, Neil Diamond, Burt Bacharach, and Neil Sedaka all got their start in the Brill Building. Fabulous singers Jenna Rubaii, John-Mark McGaha, Nicole Kaplan, and David Toole join the Spanish River Orchestra to tell some of the Brill-insider stories and to celebrate the renowned artists who paid their dues at this historical institution.
